French?

Hello,

I used Calibre since two years now and I love it. I upgraded today and look around on the website to make a donation but I also saw that the application was translated. I was surprised that there's seems to have no one that translate it in French. I could do that if you want, I'm a french canadian.

Let me know

calibre is translated to Frech, just go to Preferences->Look & Feel and choose French. If you wish to contribute to translating calibre, you can do so, instructions are here: http://calibre-ebook.com/get-involved

Is a French Canadian version is really mandatory? As far as I know, we're able to read legacy French

Is that what the 75 million native French speakers in France, Switzerland, Belgium, and large chunks of Africa and Asia call it?

Edit: I forgot Monaco, Andorra, the Channel Islands, Luxembourg, ....

The various language variations get created automatically by Launchpad, calibre will use the french translation for french canadian as well, if the french canadian translation is not complete.

Maybe "legacy" wasn't the good term, I was meaning real french. Sorry if it hurts you...

@neufsix; c'est juste que je ne sais pas comment faire une distinction entre le vrai français et le français au Canada. It's the same for English language; british english, american english; french-canadian, France-french (??)
