Free access to Oxford University Press content during the government shutdown
The government shutdown has closed a few of the research sites that are useful to those writing papers. So OUP has opened up the doors for everyone to check out their reference sites in the meantime.

To that end, we have opened up access for the next two weeks to three of our online resources: Oxford Reference, American National Biography Online, and the US Census demographics website, Social Explorer.

Oh, thank you!! I incorporate local and national history and other related information into my genealogy research. Just scrolling through The Oxford Companion to United States History (part of the American biography site) has found several articles that will complement my research nicely. Cheers!
