Possible to Merge Two Formats of the Same Book?

I added to ebook files individually (there were other texts in the same directory I didn't want included in the scan) and now in Calibre, even though the title and author are identical, they show as two separate books. Is it possible to merge these two formats into one single entry?

Yes - select both revords and press ‘m’. If any fields are present on both entries the value from the first one selected is used.

Awesome! Thank you. Is that not documented somewhere or did I just miss it? In any event, thank you again!

Merging is an option in the Edit Metadata tool, it's default keyboard shortcut is 'M'.

You can also merge via drag-dropping Book B into Book A, there's a setting in Preferences->Look and Feel to disable/enable that feature.

Added: There are many GUI features that aren't explicitly documented. One way to find out about the hidden gems is to 'browse' the Preferences->Keyboard shortcuts settings, almost every action can be given a keyboard shortcut. The JobSpy optional plugin has a tool to list the active shortcut keys in a sortable list format.
