Debut - Nine Stories from the End of the World

Hello,

This is the first book I published with KDP. They are nine fantasy and literary fiction short stories and have around 38 pages in total. Any kind of feedback will be greatly appreciated.

Amazon US / Amazon UK

Here is a short description:

"Pillars of trash that go all the way up to the ceiling, countless jars of lint, hallucinations or an improbable guest, an imaginary war fought out of boredom, a painter meeting a strange character that could be Death or the devil, a guy who doesn't clean his room and a new world is born in there - when tragedy comes, people react in irrational ways, struggling with loneliness."

I really hope to hear back from you guys,
Gabriel

Here is the weekly bump.

In the meantime, I've changed the cover, extended the blurb and I've worked more on one of the stories - The Semi Autobiography of a Kolkhoz Manager. I hope it adds up to a more pleasant experience.

Ah, I also set up my amazon Author Page and added a little biography.

I hope you'll enjoy the reading,
Gabriel

Free - Nine Stories from the End of the World

These are nine very short stories about people that don't like talking about themselves, but need to. - Amazon US / Amazon UK

"I've always dreamt of being invited to a talk show for no particular reason. To be invited there just because I am a normal man with an ordinary life." - The Semi Autobiography of a Kolkhoz Manager

"You know that I’ll be staying with you from now on, don’t you?” the question was rhetorical, and he wasn't expecting an answer.
“I know”, I said, “but I had no idea how to treat you, but like a guest.” - The Guest

Pillars of trash that go all the way up to the ceiling, countless jars of lint, hallucinations or an improbable guest, an imaginary war fought out of boredom, remembering one man's kindness - when tragedy comes, people react in irrational ways, struggling with loneliness.

Finding themselves at the end of their world, the characters try to cope with the harshness of reality. Longing for peace of mind and comfort, they find it, even if not as they expected.

"“Check this out!”, he shouted. Taking a deck of cards out of his pocket, he passed his hand over them and threw them in the air. While they were in mid air, the cards turned into money bills, but when they hit the ground they became black crows and took off, flying loudly.
He gave me a look, laughing heartily:
“This is a lot more interesting than what you are doing there.”
“It’s just a cheap trick." - Wheat Field with Crows

"The most difficult part was hiding all of this from the people I knew. My hobby was not all that different from any other hobby. Why would collecting stamps, coins, postcards and other stuff that people collect be any different than this." - The Collection of Very Small Things

Until now, I've got a couple of positive feedbacks, one sale and around 70 free downloads and I'm very happy with that alone, not mentioning the fact that I could get my work out there so easily. Currently, I'm writing a longer short story, a romance, that should be ready in about a week.

Here is the weakly bump. I know it's kind of dull to just drop in here for this, but I've been kind of busy at work.
Also, here are two excerpts from the stories.

" “You don’t need this! What would you do?! You plan a big vacation and run away from your problems, when you should stay here and face them. To do what?! You will go to Israel for two weeks and realize you've accomplished nothing. Then you’ll come back and everything will be the same. You’ll see that you only ran from problems for a short period of time and nothing really changed.”
I was depressed." - Kiril

" I am The King of the North. Together with the Red King we started this war, a long time ago. We did it because this is what kings do, they fight wars. We are kings and we should know. To make things more interesting, and because his is how wars are fought these days, The Yellow King also joined the fight. " - The King of the North
