Books Marked on Every Restart

Every time I restart calibre the same 19 books come up as marked.

In the new grid view being tested this shows as a star. I go to the Temp Marker plugin and it has Show marked (0), but when I click on it it shows me the 19 books as being marked. I can use the plugin to clear the marks, but when I restart the same 19 books are once again marked.

I'm open to suggestions.

I'd guess it is a plugin, as far I know, no calibre code ever marks books. I'd try disabling/uninstalling plugins one-by-one till you find the culprit. Start with plugins that manage lsits, like reading list/find duplicates and so on.

Do you run from source? If so, then you could put something into the "mark" code that tells you how it is being called. I can give you that "something".

You can also run calibre as

calibre --ignore-plugins

which will ignore all user isntalled plugins and should allow you to verify that it is indeed a plugin easily.

I do not run from source. Never have tried to set it up.

You were right for some reason when I install the Find Duplicates plugin on restart the same 19 books are marked. If the Find Duplicates plugin is not installed those books are not marked on restart.

I'll take my question to the Find Duplicates plugin thread.

FYI, it was the Duplicate exemptions of the Find Duplicate plugin that were starting up pre-marked. This happened in either database, but in the old one I never noticed. I cleared them and have no further issues.
