eBook Consumers and DRM Survey

Greetings everyone.

I'm currently undergoing some research into what UK eBook readers want, how they behave, and what they think about DRM. Please take a minute or two of your time to complete my survey.

Please note that you don't have to be from the UK, or know much (or anything) about DRM to complete the survey.

Considering a recent topic was posted on the subject, I thought this might be a good place to find respondents!

[EDIT]: This is a Univeristy project. Individual answers will be kept confidential.
The research results will only be published in aggregated form. Nobody will be able to figure out your individual responses.

Why are you doing research, what organisation or institution do you represent or are you a part of, and what will be done with the data?

Oh, sorry I should have mentioned. Its for a university dissertation. It
goes without saying that your individual answers will be kept confidential.
The research results will only be published in aggregated form. Nobody will be able to figure out your individual responses

Only UK residents are required for the survey I think the best way to promote it will be to share it over facebook or Gumtree.

It is interesting to hear how people feel about DRM, even if they aren't UK based.

I hadn't considered using Gumtree, but will do. Thank you for the suggestion!

Your firefox is mistaken. The link is not malicious.

Obsurvey, the survey tool I'm using, is very commonly used and is trustworthy.

Same here, chrome says "danger !"

Either the site is malicious, or it was hacked. Happened with our corporate website, blacklisted because a hacker had put some malicious code in it.

Thats strange.

I swapped computers and tried the link but didnt get any warning, just went straight to the survey..

I just tried to do the survey from my friend's computer, and yeah google chrome warned it was a phishing website. I think someone must have hacked my survey :s
I'm going to remove the link from the original post..

I've just done your survey, and hope you will post at least a summary of the results here. Please don't be offended, but thanks don't make up for the time I spent doing the survey.

You may end up with results that make it seem that consumers are more knowledgeable about DRM than they really are in general. Many of the folks here are "early adopters" of ebooks and have suffered through numerous DRM schemes and problems.

Filled it in, for some reason you seem to Have Kobo listed as a device but not a store.
