Problem with font & background colors on the Ebook Viewer

I find it easier to read white fonts on a black background. So that's how I set it on Preferences. About 90% of my books appear that way in the Viewer, but other books still show a black font...on a black background which makes them impossible to read.

So I assume it has something to do with the book file, maybe not with calibre. But is there anyway to fix this? (All of my books are MOBI.)

do a mobi to mobi conversion and use the filter style information settings to remove any color specifications from the file.

It may be that the book actually specifies color:#000; in its own css for text

I noticed that when using the color and background preferences it also does not change link colors, causing the same issue (black on black).

you may have better luck using the User Stylesheet tab
