i63ML E-ink Android Tablet Now Shipping in Russia

It ships with 512RAM, 8GB Flash storage, a microSD card slot, 2 page turn buttons, and a joystick below the screen. The Maxwell weighs in at 238g and is the size of a 6″ ereader.

Like previous Android devices from Onyx, the Maxwell is running Android 2.3 on a 1GHz CPU. But unlike earlier models the Maxwell is also going to ship with access to Google Play. Yes, the press release says that this tablet will be able to install apps and buy books from Google Play.

So far only found problems with the quality of wi-fi module: disconnects. :-(
Third-party programs work ;-)

Я не являюсь владельцем этой именно книги. Передаю впечатления первых пользователей с нашего (российского) форума.
Результат похожей модели (i63SL, без сенсора и без wi-fi) был такой:
- с максимальной подсветкой: 7:38 (Alreader for Android) 916 страниц
- без подсветки: 16:51 (Alreader for Android) 2022 страниц (Нагрузка - 1 страница каждые 30 секунд. Формат - использовались книги в форматах EPUB, FB2)
- просто свечение экрана: 47:46 (рекорд !)
Можно предположить что работа сенсора и Wi-Fi модуля уменьшит эти показатели в 2-2,5 раза.
Точных данных по i63ML нет - устройство только-только начало продаваться...

The best currently - Alreader for Android. The developer himself has written a special version of the program for the line i63/i65. Take into account all the wishes and stuff. Still used by the owners: ZXReader, Nomad Reader. Replacement of the original version and CoolReader FBreader does not go (an error installation). Probably it is somehow more difficult ...

Лучшая на данный момент - Alreader for Android. Сам разработчик программы написал специальную версию для линейки i63/i65. Учёл все пожелания и мелочи. Используются владельцами ещё: ZXReader, Nomad Reader. Замена на оригинальные версии CoolReader и FBreader не выходит (выдаёт ошибку установки). Вероятно это делается как-то сложнее...

Many questions remain unanswered.

For example, if you have removed all of the phone's OS.
When Android suppose indexed books and one wonders whether he can carry large collections of books like the current models of Onyx, and indexing will slow the reader.
Something important for we carry large collections of books.
Also good to know if you extract the metadata and this one can switch off and on our current Onyx models.
Do not forget that the primary function of this device is to read.
So very interested in reading engines preloaded and behavior.

The speed is perceived in the video is a result of a new E Ink screen faster, or an artifact of sotware-called "quick ink" like the Cybook Odyssey HD frontlight ...???

All these questions and more, we could clarify the Booxtor that has a long drive.
