Hello from the Backwoods!!!

A little about me, well, I am disabled. I have a pair of shoulders that won't stay put and I have been told by the best docs in the business that they can't put them back together. I have a wonderful wife, four beautiful daughters, and a goofy pooch that loves to fling slobber. Thank yall for your time, look forward to getting familiar with mobileread and sharing my stories.

I feel like I am back in school. As a beginner in the world of writing, I have received some feedback and a good bit of an education. I look forward to fine-tuning my work, my practices and my craft. I find a great deal of pride in my intellect and stories, although I try more so to humble myself, as I find self-bloating to be inappropriate. The validation I seek comes from those who know me, read my work, or take the time to seek a first impression, not from an ego within. Thank you, to those who open your minds to me, I will grow and be the better for it.

Hello Backwoods! Your story is very is heart touching you are a very brave person despite of your disability. I salute you for that and more power to you. Hope you will be able to enjoy Mobilread and help you as well

Thank you androidrooting. It has been a difficult road. I thank the Bossman upstairs everyday for my wife and kids, wouldn't have made it far at all without them.

It is easy to get wrapped up in the "Poor Me" syndrome. I think of the many folks around the world with problems so much greater than my own and I do indeed have many things to be thankful for. We have soldiers fighting for us, losing their lives and limbs, so that we may share our stories and play with our children. To me, they are the brave ones. I had many hopes of standing at their side, having even enlisted myself, but my shoulders had a different plan. I am only here because someone, somewhere, has taken my place in the sand. With that comparison, my troubles seem minimal. I do however, thank you for your support. It is always a comfort to know that people still care about each other, a knowledge that sometimes seems lost in this hectic world we call home.

It's really a nice feeling to know a person who is full of hope despite all the circumstances they are facing with their lives and you are one of them Blackwoods! I know God has greater plans for you. I'm happy that your wife and kids are always at your back. You are indeed one of the strong persons that I know.
