Order Number, blog and March2008

Hi there

I',m dissapointed with comunication from Bookeen. First, they have their blog. And the last post is dated over month ago. I really would love to see some updates there.

Also they still have on their shop page information that no matter what, my ebook will not arrive "before March 2008". Well as it is 3rd March already, I would be surprised if it would

The information about firmware is only available through this website thanks to concerned owners. The list of things they work on, aprox release dates etc would be nice.

Next there is no way of checking which orders have been already sent. I ordered somewhere mid-February, and my order number is 115##.

If you have recently received your order from bookeen, please post some info, so otheres (less lucky) would have idea which orders are processed.

Thanks in advance.

Mine is 14 Feb, and also 115##, still nothing.

Since most stores are getting it this week, it would be nice with some info..

It's been reported elsewhere that Bookeen are telling people that the next batch of machines will ship in the week of March 17th-21st. These dates have proved to be accurate in the past.

HarryT: Thanks for info. Pity that it is the week I was planning vacation for Well, seems that I will have to haul traditional treeware instead.

Ordered mine on 23 February, order number 118**

How do they ship? I'm away the week of 17 March and half the following week, I'd hate to see my Cybook sent back to Bookeen for non-collection...

They ship by FedEx. You'll be send a tracking eMail (by FedEx) when it ships. I assume it works the same for you as it does for us - if you're not in when FedEx deliver, they leave you a card and you can either go and pick the package up from the local depot or arrange a new delivery date.

Harry, thanks for the information. I guess Bookeen will send me an e-mail to say that the CyBook has shipped and give me a shipping number. That way I should be able to intercept it. From previous experience, if I wait for Fedex to leave me a note in my letterbox telling me they passed by but I wasn't at home, by the time I get it they'll have returned the package to sender!

I wonder, does the order number refer to the model sequentially, in other words, will mine be the 11,8**th model off the assembly line? Or is there some other kind of numbering convention? If the former, and the model(s) ordered on 14 Feb are 11,5**, then that's a lot of orders in the space of nine days! I wonder how many models are built in a single production run?

They are sequential order numbers.

So now I'm very confused. I placed an order for a cyBook on February 26th and the e-mail I received from NAEB has an order number of 166....? It's not a 5 (or 6?) digit order number. Am I looking at the right information on my order confirmation?

-tnx,

Jeff

You ordered from NAEB, the people with 5 digit numbers ordered direct from Bookeen.

Yup, me too. Order number 118**, made on 23 Feb, shipped today.

That's great, I spent several hours this weekend pulling together all my e-books and getting them formatted nicely. Can't wait to see how they look on the CyBook - after all these years reading them on tiny screens!
