The Fault in Our Stars by John Green $3.99 at Amazon, B&N

I'll rarely bother to make a thread for an individual book, but this terrific YA LitFic/Romance book was on all kinds of "Best of the Year" lists in 2012, and one I bought and read in hardback.

The Fault in Our Stars by John Green Amazon Main Barnes and Noble Nook

TIME Magazine’s #1 Fiction Book of 2012!
“The Fault in Our Stars is a love story, one of the most genuine and moving ones in recent American fiction, but it’s also an existential tragedy of tremendous intelligence and courage and sadness.” —Lev Grossman, TIME Magazine

Despite the tumor-shrinking medical miracle that has bought her a few years, Hazel has never been anything but terminal, her final chapter inscribed upon diagnosis. But when a gorgeous plot twist named Augustus Waters suddenly appears at Cancer Kid Support Group, Hazel’s story is about to be completely rewritten.

Insightful, bold, irreverent, and raw, The Fault in Our Stars is award-winning-author John Green’s most ambitious and heartbreaking work yet, brilliantly exploring the funny, thrilling, and tragic business of being alive and in love.

I don't know... $3.99 for a popular ebook published by Penguin sort of sounds a bit like a "deal" to me. Are there rules as to what constitutes a deal?

It's $18 in Canada, sounds like a deal to me.

Anyway, I'll add my recommendation, I enjoyed listening to this as an audiobook, very well written.

ETA: I did some checking, this was reduced slightly to $9.99 from $10.99 in May, so this new drop yesterday to $3.99 is probably a short term promotion. You can also get the companion whispersync audiobook for $3.99 if you buy the ebook at Amazon.

Since the historical pricing of this book shows that it is, indeed, offered for a time at a sale price, the thread has been returned to the Freebies Forum.

I agree - I had it on my wish list for my daughter but was hoping for a price reduction. This is more than half off the price I saw before, which is a very good deal.

A nice deal. I listened to this as an Audible book, and enjoyed it very much.

Yeah - I had this on my wish list and got an alert when it dropped so I scooped it up. A member here (can't remember who) posted such emphatic praise of this novel, I had to scoop it up as soon as it dropped in price.
