Should I risk exchanging a Glo with 1 bright pixel? How common are problems?

I have a bright pixel near the bottom of the screen of my Glo. It isn't inside the reading area. I thought I had 30 days to exchange my Glo, but Chapters only gives us 14 days ! Which means I'll have to go through Kobo.

How common are problems? How likely is it that I'll receive a Glo that's worse than what I already have? What is Kobo's exchange policy regarding bright pixels? |

We have 2 Kobo touches and one Glo in our family and none have any pixel issues. Anecdotal evidence I know, but I would defo send it back. |

I also would send it back. A white (or black) pixel would drive me to distraction while trying to read. My Glo doesn't have any at all. It's one of the reasons I hunted down a local store that carried the Glo, just in case there were problems. I don't have any experience with returning to Kobo, I'm sure others will post though.

The bright pixel seems to bother you. Return it and get new one now while you can.

When you do exchange it, I suggest saying that it has a light guide defect causing a bright spot.

My kobo glo had about 5 of these bright spots. They never bothered me as they were at the bottom of the screen where there isn't any text. However, if they bother you you should take it back and exchange it for another.

			I'd return it.

Maybe try again with chapters? 14 days sounds very short. If they won't exchange, can you return it and just go to a different store? |

I'd try the Chapters you bought the device at also. In my experience, their managers seem to have a bit of room to maneuver in these situations, especially if you want an exchange and not a full refund.
