Classic Book
Hi,
I'm looking on the kobo library for the original The Great Gatsby. The problem is that there are so many!! How do I know which one is the original? Are they all the same with just a different cover?? |

The Great Gatsby was published in 1925. In some countries, such as the United States, it is still in copyright. In other countries it's in the public domain.
You need to find out what the laws are in your country to decide which version/edition to buy. (And yes, the copyright laws are a complete mess, one that few governments in the world are willing to attempt to update.) |

By original I mean just the original story. I'm not sure how the books on the kobo store differ from one another.
In terms of the copyright issues, does that mean I might not be able to read the book I purchase on the store? *confused* |

Then you needn't worry about copyright, because the book is in the public domain for you. Any of the versions on offer should be fine, although some will doubtless be better formatted than others.

No idea, I'm afraid. I've not seen what's available. Personally I'd start with a free one, given that the book is in the public domain for you.
