how to delete files from my library

I am hoping someone can help. I have been trying to work this out for myself, but I give in.

When I tap my library on my nook glow light I am given options, one of which is my files. When this page displays on the nook there is 100 files and 20 pages of them.They seem to be all the books I have transferred using ade. I then tap one of the book titles and the message " This nook cannot read this file. It may be an unsupported format" appears. I have tried everything to try and delete them all, but to no avail,

I am hoping some techy poster can help. Many thanks in advance.

I'm not the techy poster you expected, but I had the same problem some time ago with my Nook Simple Touch. A simple restart of the device solved the problem for me.

thank you....how do I do a restart, please? Will doing that erase all my books etc. Sorry to sound a bit thick,

Hi,

You have to keep the Power button (located on the back of the device, on the middle top part) pressed for a few seconds. This will not erase nothing. Some people complained about losing their shelves (if you defined any), but my Nook managed to keep them
