Device: Kobo: Not just an eReader, it's an adventure!
WARNING: Automatic Firmware Update May Load 2.5.2

If you haven't updated your firmware to 2.5.2 already, syncing the device may cause 2.5.2 to be installed on it, rather than the new 2.6.1.

I guess this means that Kobo has two 'current' versions of the firmware in release at the same time.

This means nothing more than what Kobo has ALWAYS done; a staggered roll out of F/W across the devices that have been sold.

So the factory reset and sync did not help you? You might want to try downloading the firmware from the links in the Direct Links to Kobo Firmware thread

https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=185660

and install it following the instructions in the third message in the thread.

Regards,
David

I haven't turned my Wifi on since the whole wasted space issue with firmware 2.5.2
So I'm safely on 2.5.1 and I will stay there for the time being.
