Since last night my Paperwhite has not shown any SOs. The sleep screen has reverted to a non-SO image, and when waking it displays a message about making sure my Kindle is registered and connecting wirelessly, which it is ( I never turn off wireless). Kind of odd. Anybody else seeing this?

There have been a couple of threads on this topic recently. It appears that the ad servers are having hiccups lately.
