Font issue

I have 2 font problems I am hoping you guys can help me with. Problem #1: When I go to change the font of a book I'm reading, the list of fonts repeats itself, so each font set is listed twice. I have not sideloaded any fonts so these are all the fonts that came on the Glo. This has only been since I upgraded to 2.5.1. The list of fonts looks like this: Amasis Avenir Next Caecilia Georgia Gill Sans Kobo Nickel Malabar Gothic Amasis Avenir Next Caecilia Georgia Gill Sans Kobo Nickel Malabar Gothic Ryumin OpenDyslexic How do I get rid of the extra sets of fonts? Problem #2: In the "Advanced" area for each font (that has that capability) how do I reset them to the default? When I hit "Reset", it only puts them back to the setting I had before I changed it, not to a default for the font. I could swear I remembered it resetting each font to a default when I hit "reset" before I upgraded to the new firmware, but maybe I'm wrong. Either way, is there some way to get the fonts back to their default settings? Because on some of them I like the default better but I can't remember where the sliders were. Thanks in advance! |

And honestly it makes less sense to me this way, because at least before you could remember where the sliders were in comparison to the default for different sharpness and weight settings. Now it's all over the place. Is there some way I can force them all to reset to defaults? So I can at least memorize where the sliders are and play with the settings against that? Maybe a pinhole reset, anything?

Try a pinhole and see. A factory reset definitely will, but of course you'd have to re-set all your settings and re-load all your books.

I am happy to report that a pinhole reset fixed the issue and put all the fonts back to their default setting. I'm so relieved the fix is simple.

Code: [Reading] readingFontFamily=Georgia readingFontSharpness\Georgia=@Variant(\0\0\0\x87<\xa3\xd7\n) readingFontWeight\Georgia="@Variant(\0\0\0\x87=u\xc2\x8f)" The problem is that the defaults have probably changed sine the last firmware, this will only reset it to the default for the current firmware. Edit: Ignore this if the pinhole reset works :-) Last edited by GeoffR; 05-04-2013 at 10:00 PM.
