How to know Paperwhite active time use?

In short: How to know the exact active time use of Kindle Paperwhite per charge? I mean that the exact total time spent for reading ebooks on paperwhite after a full charge until paperwhite is drained out all energy, excluding the time it was put in sleep mode?

Thank everybody!

Just look at the time when you start reading, and when you stop reading. Make a note of the amount of time spent. Repeat this, and then after your Kindle drains, add all times together. Or is that too low-tech?

Yes, it is kinda low-tech

If I can remember or group all books I read per charge cycle, is there any place in Paperwhite settings that show the exact time I spent for finish reading each book? If this way is possible, I can add them together to know the total time... just a simple calculation

Sorry for my bad english I am kinda dull in tech-devices, I also don't know how to group e-books into several groups

The Paperwhite calculates your reading speed. It uses this to estimate how long it will take you to finish a chapter, or a book. It's fairly accurate after reading some time.

This is all the Paperwhite does. It does not store the total time spent reading. You will have to keep track of this yourself.

You could submit a request to Amazon, to see if they implement it into their firmware, and then keep track of it per day, week, and month... and show it in a nice graph trough a menu option.

This is all fine and dandy, but for those of us who read mostly nonfiction-- History in particular-- sometimes a good 30% of a book covers end-notes and indexes, ect. For these types of books, such calculations are useless.

Myself, I never pay attention to time left. I'd like to see a regular timer on the Kindle, with the ability to reset at will.

It's a wonder after all these years that such a feature has not yet been implemented. My guess is that a lot of people would like to have a timer.

The question has no meaning. The Kindle is in "sleep mode" whenever it's not actually refreshing the screen.

I recorded two Paperwhite charge cycles by reading session times in an Excel spreadsheet. If WiFi is on, I get 10 hours and, if WiFi is off, I get 12 hours.
