Installing Sigil. "Associate ebooks with Sigil"

What happens if I check "Associate ebooks with Sigil" "EPUB"

Is it better to check this or not?

Its up to you. Selecting that option would make Sigil the default application for opening ePubs, so selecting an ePub in a file browser / explorer type application, would open it in Sigil.

Depends

If you read books on your PC, then I would guess the NO is you best choice... You want EPUB to open in your reader program by default.

Like PeterT, I mainly EDIT the EPUB, so I chose YES.

If at later time, you want a temporary, different action: right-click on the EPUB and choose: Open With: the pick the other program.
