Text omission in book from Kindle

After importing the book "Proof of Heaven" from my Kindle to the Calibre library and then viewing the book I find omissions randomly through out the text. I tried deleting the book from the Calibre library and then imported it again on the device menu and find I still get the same corruption. I don't see these errors viewing the book on the Kindle.

Am I doing something wrong?

I've imported other books successfully.

How does it display in Kindle reader? That's the obvious way to read a Kindle book on a computer.

I see in Calibre view:

"But of course http:www.xvdsa.djf I was not able to do that."

On Kindle I see:
"But of course, I was not able to do that."

Other places a whole paragraph is missing.

It;s hard to help you without access to the book in question, I suggest you try a mobi to mobi conversion, that might help.

It comes into the library as .azw3. Are you suggesting that converting it from azw3 to mobi will straighten it out? I'll give it a try.

Nope! Didn't work. Text still came out identically jumbled.

It seems like it gets the text gets mixed up on the transfer from Kindle to the Calibre library.

Something similar happened to me a couple of times a few months ago. It had never happened before. As far as I know, I wasn't doing anything I hadn't done before.

The problem went away when I upgraded to a more recent version of Calibre. I can't say for sure if that was the solution, but it might be worth a try. Sorry, I don't remember the version numbers involved.

I update from 0.9.02 to 0.9.25 and the problem now seems to be resolved.
