DR1000 Error : flashing red and one green

Dear Irex community,

Long story short I made a mistake by inverting the wires of the battery (I know it's bad to cross the streams ), I have now an error code of the top light flashing red and a steady green light (top one on the right side).

I didn't find any thread related to this particular problem. I believe something electronical is messed up but which one ?
I didn't see any fuse or burned component, any idea what I should check ?

For the long story, I bought this used DR1000 a couple years ago.
The USB plug broke and thanks to some of the threads here I fixed it.
But then the reset button broke and the battery wasn't holding very long anymore.
At that point I didn't want to fix it or cut the box for a slightly bigger battery.
I brought the battery wires outside and plug a much larger battery.
But that meant disconnecting the battery for recharge.
The reconnection wasn't a problem until now...

I have the same problem with DR1000s. How to fix the problem with USB plug ?
