.0.6.2 or 0.7.0 or 0.71?

Sigil experts of the world,

I did a novel in 0.6.2. It is being proofread and then when that's done all I need to is add an html toc and then I will be done. (I was veryhappy with 0.6.2.)

Then 0.7.0 came along and shortly thereafter 0.7.1

My questions: #1) Should I stick with 0.6.2 to finish off my novel (adding the html toc) that I started there or will it be okay if I add the toc in 0.7.0 or O.7.1?

#2) You guys convinced me 0.7.0 was good. Is 0.7.1 better? (I get nervous reading about the bugs.)

#3) Since I've had such good luck with 0.6.2 (I'm using XP) maybe I should just stay with it? (Or are the features of the later models worth the switch?)

Keep doing whatever works for you. I stuck with Sigil 0.3.4 for quite some time. It didn't have much in the way of whistles and bells, but it was solid--dependable. In fact... I believe I skipped the entire 0.4.x cycle and jumped back in at 0.5.3. I was out again for 0.6.x (except for experimenting). 0.7.2-5 might turn out to be another Sigil plateau for me.

My suggestion is to stick with 0.6.2 to finish off this book. After it's done, uninstall 0.6.2 and install whatever the latest 0.7.x version is. You should uninstall when jumping from major versions (0.6.2 to 0.7.1 should be an uninstall; 0.7.1 to 0.7.2 does not have to be an uninstall)

Thanks Diap. I was hoping to hear something like that because I really am comfortable with 0.6.2. Appreciate it.

Sounds like a plan, JS. I really do like 0.6.2. It's, for me, like Diap said, dependable, but I also want to check out the new features of the newer versions. And I actually did go from 0.6.2 to 0.7.0 and it seemed to work okay, but then I went back to 0.6.2. Did not know about uninstalling it. Thanks for the heads-up.
