That's an error trying to create a directory. You have some filesystem issues on F: drive. Google error code 82 you might get some help.

This is a problem with your drive or file system. This error has nothing to do with calibre. Try backing up your drive, reformatting your drive and then restore the library. This may work, good luck.

Update: Google searches here, here.

Googling in 'windows error 82' does give info, although it isn't all that much help. It's just a generic 'Sorry, can 't do that'-error ('ERROR_CANNOT_MAKE: The directory or file cannot be created'). One reason could be that you're trying to create more directory entries than a FAT root dir can hold, but that's not what happens in your case.

I suggest running a file system check on your drive F:.

That's fine I was just curious.

Backup, format, reinstall is my only advice.

Your drive may be giving you warnings of upcoming failure Get a S.M.A.R.T. readout utility and query the drive.
Or
Since this appears to be an External drive: Power (sustained usage) issues.
Is it powered ONLY from the USB? Or does it have its own (wall) power cord?
