Fantasy recommendations from George R.R. Martin

http://grrm.livejournal.com/316785.html There are some good recommendations there, especially for people new in fantasy (like me ). Good advice about the fantasy classics. I was wondering about this Maurice Druon books. "This is the original Game of Thrones", says Martin. Anybody here read this series? The Iron King at amazon.com Kindle version is ~19$. Paperback is 10$. Weird. Iron King on UK amazon |

If I understood correctly from what I just read unless you read French then you do not get to read the last book. Am I missing something, I am not about to read a series and be unable to finish it. applesauce |

Yup, you missed something. They will translate the last book along with these new editions. "The best news... at least for me... is the HarperCollins not only intends to release new English editions of the first six novels of THE ACCURSED KINGS, but also... finally!!!... translate the seventh and concluding volume. (Talk about waiting a long time for a book)." Last edited by Geralt; 03-11-2013 at 06:01 AM. |

I, too, hate it when my TBR list starts to groan. The noise is sometimes unbearable. Don |
