Importing multiple images
Hi All,
I have to import 102 images into an ebook. What's the quickest way of getting these into the images folder in Sigil. I think it might be unzipping the epub and simply copying the images into the sub-folder in Windows and zipping it all back up, but I've never done this. Also, all the images have descriptions of the image in the file name with spaces would it be better to rename these as, say, image001, image002, etc? Thanks in advance. John. |

It is very simple to select "Add Existing Files", navigate to the folder with all your images, and then highlight all your images (ctrl-a) and select "open".
Sigil will automatically put all of those images in your images folder in the ePub AND put the appropriate references in your Content.opf file. I would recommend renaming the images to not have spaces. It doesn't have to be image001, image002...I prefer descriptive names, but with no spaces (Map_Hogwarts, Ch_art, BackCover etc.) Cheers! |

There had to be a simple solution, thank you very much. I didn't realise Sigil could do this. PowerShell came to the rescue with changing spaces to underscore. Happy bunny
