Formatting Ebooks

I am formatting an ebook (RTF) that I plan to convert to Sony. I converted this book to RTF from .lit. All the illustrations are there and it is generally a beautifully formatted book, except for one thing: throughout the book (after the conversion) there are words with no spaces in-between! It wouldn't be so bad except this book is 1,095 pages in Word! Any suggestions other than going through spell check, line by line? Anybody know any tricks for this?

Thanks for any support.

How is it you managed to remove the spaces from all the words? If the original source is OK, I suggest starting the conversion over again saving your conversion at each successful step until you see what it is you did.

Long shot possibility - look at the font format "Character Spacing" in MS Word. I've experienced some weirdnesses there. All fonts should be set to "Scale - 100%", "Spacing - Normal" & "Position - Normal".

Again this is a long shot but I've had problems crop up re. this formating when I convert some books & it took me a while to discover how to fix it.

Perhaps you removed ^p and didn't replace it with a space?
