PageBurst Tools and Ipad

I finally caved and bought an ipad (yesterday!) because my textbooks are becoming 4 inches thick each.

I'm using pageburst from evolve/elsiever to read one, and it is supposed to let me highlight and take notes. But, I can't seem to figure out how to do it on the ipad. I'm suspecting it's computer only, which is going to make me really annoyed-- I feel like that's something I'd have at least liked to have been told.

Does anyone know how to highlight/take notes on textbooks on the ipad with this program, or am I out of luck???

The manual suggests that you can:

Using Notes, Highlighters, and Collections
»»Return to the Bookshelf by tapping the Collections button at the top left.
»»Add highlighters by tapping the highlighter icon in the top left corner of the Collections window.
»»Make notes by opening the book and naviwgating to the text you would like to highlight.
»»Hold your finger down at the first word of the text.
»»After it is highlighted, drag the highlight to the full group of text you need highlighted.
»»Tap the section once, then tap make highlight.
»»If you need to add a note to a highlight, tap again, then tap make note.
