Most of the apps from the Amazon Appstore are for ANY android tablet (including the Fire) or phone-- some need specific OS versions, processor speed or RAM, some are definitely optimized for larger screens (Fire size).
The Kindle Store does have a few games that will run on non-Fire Kindles.

You are very welcome, everyone! I'm not sure why they listed the greatest hits freebies separate from their regular daily free app. I figured lots of people would miss it.

If not for this forum, I would have missed all the free Christmas music. They just don't advertise their freebies well enough.
