It contains much speculation about technological invention, including descriptions of a world-wide telephone network, solar powar, air travel, space travel to the planets Saturn and Jupiter, and a plan to adjust the Earth's axial tilt.”

“John Jacob Astor IV (July 13, 1864 – April 15, 1912) was an American millionaire businessman, inventor, writer, a member of the prominent Astor family, and a lieutenant colonel in the Spanish-American War. He died in the sinking of the RMS Titanic.”

“Daniel Carter "Uncle Dan" Beard (June 21, 1850 – June 11, 1941) was an American illustrator, author, and social reformer who founded the Sons of Daniel Boone in 1905, which Beard later merged with the Boy Scouts of America (BSA).”
