Grouping / subqueries in library search
Looking at the search manual, I don't suppose there's anything like subqueries to express things like
![]() I would find the kind of queries quite helpful to get back to an author or series after a while. |

Calibre's search cannot do queries that require information from more than one book. The search expression can "see" only the information for the current book. This is also true of the template language.
Arbitrary queries can be done in a plugin, but of course plugins requires programming. Some people have done similar things using SQL against the raw database to generate reports. |
