Easy question-I hope
Hi,
Can't seem to find this in help, but what format should the filename be so that when loaded into Calibre, the title, author, and series get put into the correct column? Is is changeable by options? Thank you, Joe |

If you are talking about ePUB, it is not in the filename but in the metadata of the ePUB.

It si configurable. In calibre, go to the preferences and then "Adding books". You need to uncheck the "Read metadata from file contents" option at the top. Then, partway down is a field to specify how to read the file name. You can do lots of things with that.

You don't need regex in Calibre to read data from the filename. It has the fieldnames in a selector that you just put into the same order/style as your filename. It has a test button as well to make sure you got it right!
