Onyx Boox M96 Universal

I'm looking to buy an M96 Universal, for being able to read documents and pdf's in a decent size. I use my ereaders/tablets on a stand by my computer for work instead of a second monitor, with the benefit that I can take the device with me on the road. And I've been looking for a large (at least 9") E Ink Pearl device.

However, a reviewer on Amazon said that the device shipped by Amazon is not the same as the one sold by Onyx in Germany, and that the German one has better software and ongoing upgrades available.

Does anyone know if this is true? Before I shell out $300 I would like to make sure that I did not get the wrong device

On Amazon, it's usual that the version it's the polish version with the specific software.

On http://ereader-store.de you have the standard version. I don't know if the software is better, but for the M92 it was true that the upgrades are more frequent. For the moment, in : http://ereader-store.de/en/onyx-boox...m96-black.html

Thanks Randy. In looking at the link, I couldn't tell if the M96-black is the same as the "Universe" M96 except for the faster screen, or the "old" M96. Any ideas?

If it's not clear, I may stick with Amazon (easier to return)

The "M96 Universe" is the polish version : Artatech" : http://onyx-ereader.pl/pl/produkty or https://onyx-boox.com. This company have made a specific software for the M92 and other Onyx's devices. I understand that they made the same thing with the M96 Universe.

The "M96 Black" is the standard version. By stantard, you must understand an international version.
