Procrastination

Sometimes my mind is so cluttered that I forget what's really important. I tend to procrastinate. How do you beat procrastination?

Don't put off to tomorrow what you can do today, that's how one defeats procrastination

I make lists of tasks/To-Do's, etc - and then reward myself every time I can check something off - NOT food - but take time out to read a chapter in my book, etc.

Also, do 1 thing at a time until it is finished. Then move on.

If I'm procrastinating about doing things around the house I pretty much have to leave the computer and TV turned off. I can put an audiobook on, so I have something to listen to that I don't feel compelled to watch!

One the things most likely to mean I'll get things done at home is to bring something home from the office to work on! Of course, that means I'm procrastinating on getting the work project done, but I get my kitchen counter cleared or the laundry done!

This is what I usually do!! When I have unfinished business on my desk, and I'm in procrastination mode, I clean the kitchen, dust clean all rooms, and do all other kinds of house work, only to avoid what's really important that's lying on my desk.
