My New Kindle PW..UPDATE..
I picked up a new KPW on Sunday Oct 21 at BB.. I had been waiting in line on Amazon since Oct 3.. the one I got from BB had problems.. sploches, blotches and was horrible at night.. then all of a sudden Amazon on the same day said my order had been shipped.. I took back the BB version and got my Amazon version today.. the Amazon verision is a totally different animal.. great.. it's way gooder.. no comparison to the BB version.. Amazon got it figured out.. BB and probably other retailers must have got stuck with the original bad batches.. who knows.. I would imagine if you ordered one now online from Amazon it would be the lastest and greatest..

I am soooo happy for you.

I ordered one from Amazon yesterday. Mine will be here before or after Thanksgiving. I ordered one a week or two before and it had the same estimated arrival date. I cancelled because of the bad reviews. I was getting scared and almost cancelled today because I wasn't hearing very good updates.

So do you have the 4 lights at the bottom? I could live with just that if it doesn't affect reading in the pitch black, which is what I would be doing. I am going to keep my order active.

Yes, mine has 4 LED's at the bottom.. there is a TINY bit of shadow glow on the screen at the bottom just above the frame, however it's hardly noticeable. I love it, used it in the dark in bed last nite..
