I'm just letting people know there is a tablet version of the app. Given that the forum recently supported tapatalk, I thought folks would like to know there is a tablet optimized version (albeit a beta) they can try out.

People are reporting several bugs in Tapatalk HD for Android - version 0.2, but as you can run both it and Tapatalk for Android version 1.5 on the same device, I don't see where it should hurt anything to give it a try and see how you like it.

The 2 series is not out for all devices. If you have a Kindle Fire or other Android device, Tapatalk Forum App version 2.4 is indeed the one you want, but there are other versions for other systems. Yeah, but you're comparing different devices, with different code bases. Having versions not match between different platforms is not uncommon. Have to do some bug fixes on one system, but not on another, etc. Also, you did specify for Android, which the current version is 2.4.

There already exists a non-beta version of Tapatalk HD. It's for the iPad.

I have been trying it out these past days. It's definitively a step up from the previous version (non-tablet), but it is still half baked. It only works on landscape, and it has crashed on me a couple of times. Still plenty of work to be done before this is ready for release. That said, the new split screen where you have the threads on the left and the current open thread on the right pane is very useful.
