Hi:
Is there a way to create a Yes/No Custom Column based on the device id such as what is used in the Ignore Device column? I would like to create a column to identify books on a device based on the separate devices, ie my Paperwhite and Fire separately. Is something like this possible?? |

As an alternative way of addressing this you might want to look at the Reading List plugin. It allows you to maintain device specific lists.

I agree with itimpi - reading list will work well for this.
Another way that I use: create a text multiple column. Choose a value for each device. When you connect a device, search for onDevice:true and use bulk edit to add the tag to every book. Then search for onDevice:false and remove the tag from every book. Reading list simplifies this a bit by letting you clear a list then add all selected book to the list. |

Thanks guys for the suggestions, I think I will go with the RL option, I already have a system in place for my PW, which is replacing my K4, and the Fire will not have a lot of books on it, so the RL will work for it.

Mark all, metadate edit (in bulk mode): set a (custom column) tag: which device To clear a tag: just use ondevice:false and use the Bulk metadata edit to 'remove tag' |
