Since yesterday, I'm seeing rows of stars across the screen. I'm running Firefox 15. Anyone else see that? Here's a screen shot:

I looked at the same page, https://www.mobileread.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=13 , and saw no stars. I am using Firefox 16 though. |

I still see them. Firefox 15.0.1, Windows XP SP3 Home. Anyone know if the forum software has been updated recently?

perhaps some issue with your proxy? My proxy uses to block some images, like stars. Instead I would read: "user x may be fed up with karma points by now" or something like that, one for each image not showing. |

I'm using Firefox 15.0.1 on a Vista system and see no stars. Is it just with MobileRead that you're seeing them?

Are you using any sort of terminal emulator/WINE, etc? Have you blocked any active display options in FireFox or have any privacy/security add-ons? |

I use Firefox and I always see the stars. I have seen it used with vbuletin. It is a thread rating tool that readers can rate the thread. It shows only in the menu bar on threads first post. It is a drop down menu called "Rate this thread" With a star rating from "Excellent to Terrible" in five steps. I do not think it is browser dependent. And I have given this thread a 5 star rating! For the ones that do not see the stars, I have not a clue why? |

You mean you also see the same row of stars right across the screen between messages superimposed over the text that's there, just like the graphic I posted? Have a look at the graphic again. You seem to be talking about something different.

My bad! The stars in the graphic is totally wrong, and I have not a clue why you are seeing them. Wish you luck in tracking down the problem. It must be some kind of formatting problem. Not the forums it seems. | |

Okay, the stars have now disappeared. Either the admins fixed it or I had an unknown problem and it passed. |
