Any way to zoom in to graphic on original Fire?

On my Kinde1 I can enlarge a map or photo, but don't see any way to do so in the original Fire. Am I missing something?

Double-tap the picture. I'm assuming in the Kindle app, right?

<slaps forehead> Thanks, that works fine. It must be somewhere in the users guide, but could not find it. Nice thing is, once I do this, I can use gestures to enlarge even more and scroll around.

Not a Kindle app, but direct downloaded book from Kindle.
