Hey Guys -

My favorite definition of "Science Fiction" is a story that shows the effect of science on some aspect of our lives.

One of the less "techie" books that does this is a novel called "Beggars in Space" by Nancy Kress. What if they found a gene that removed your need for sleep? How could 6 children given this 'option' by their parents change the world. The book explores this.
