Nook App not avail for Canada?

I have two Kobo Vox's.
A few months back I loaded Barnes & Noble's Nook app on one of the Vox's.
I am now trying to put it on my second Vox and I'm having difficulty.
I tried to load from Goodereader's app site - says "Download Failed" - no reason.
Tried from Google Play (boy was that difficult to find!) and it asks which device I am loading to (very anal); when I select a Vox, it says the app is not available for the country of my device (which is Canada).

Has something changed?

Would anyone have an idea how to get the app on my Canadian Vox?

Thanks.

If your device is rooted, you can install MarketEnabler from the Play Store and fake your location to the US. Just select any of the US carriers on the drop down list.

If you're not rooted, you'll have to look for the APK on the net and sideload it. Another option for non-rooted device is to access the Play Store via a proxy so it looks like you're in the US, and then install from the browser (on your PC).

Thanks.
My Vox is not rooted so I'll try the sideloading option.
I think I will try to copy the app from the Vox that has the Nook app to the micro SD card then use that to sideload to the 2nd Vox.

It's aggrevating that these organizations are putting up all these barriers.

Again, thanks.

You can get it from the Aptoide market. You will first need to install the Aptoide app (you can get an installer for it on the Play Store, just search for Aptoide) and then search for Nook for Android in the Aptoide market. Aptoide allows you to install apps even if you're not "in the right country" (which is the US of course...) and doesn't check for the device either.
