Content PDF too slow, problems with briss

Hi.

I'm trying to put these math textbook PDF onto my Kindle DX.
The first one has a lot of graphs and math equations, and it takes forever to turn pages. Is there a way to compress the PDF file so that the pages don't take as long?

Also, I'm having trouble with Briss cropping pages. It usually takes too long to load the PDF, so when I try to do it chapter by chapter, the program just freezes for no reason. Is there a software recommended for cutting out margins out of PDFs?

Try installing Duokan for the DX. Its a little lacking in some places since development of the DX version stopped a long time ago and it hasn't been updated in ages, but it does a lot better than the Kindle OS in PDF processing and image processing. It also has margin cropping setting, but its the same spot for ALL the pages so it might not work if you have inconsistent margins.

Not amazing, but does the job.

Sounds like this is a scanned image PDF. You might be able to reduce the file size without adversely affecting readability (e.g. Acrobat can do that). That should help somewhat no matter what is trying to read it.
