Jeffrey Archer 74p

For those of you that can purchase books from Amazon UK and like thrillers, they have quite a few Jeffrey Archer backlist books offered at 74p. I assume this is the equivalent of 99c so perhaps they are also available at US Amazon. Haven't checked, been to busy 1-clicking.

Ohh, there are also several Ken Follet books in the same price range.

other than Twelve Red Herrings, The Eleventh Commandment and Only Time Will Tell (all Archer), the sale seems to be over. there are a few short stories at that price, still.

re-did my search (it hated follet for some reason) and found a number by him still on sale:

Well, starting with pretending he went to a "famous" private school, rather than a "minor" one with almost the same name (Wellington .....), it really is tricky knowing where to start ......

But how about perverting the course of justice, perjury, insider dealing, being economical with the verite in general ................. you probably get the idea.

May I suggest, for a more detailed account of his not so much of a fall, but a slide from grace, check out his Wiki page.

Quite enlightening, and covers all the above.

Not just a politician, but one whose career was wrecked by scandal twice. At least twice.

I did read his Wiki page. Lots of things I wasn't aware of, but then again, he isn't exactly a household name in Sweden. The financial fracas surprised me, I thought he would have made good money on his books.
