Best text to speech program

I used to use the free www.yakitome.com online text-to-speech service to convert texts into audio files. It allows long texts. Then I can download the files onto my Android phone. A redesign lately makes the voice terrible to listen. Is there any other free service you can suggest Otherwise, is there any low-cost, good quality text-to-speech software for Windows 7 you can recommend?

I use TTS in the FBReader app.

Thanks for the tip. Problem solved after I selected another voice to do the text-to-speech conversion on Yakitome site.

I use Balabolka, which can be set up with any voice for Microsoft Speech API or Microsoft Speech Platform (I prefer the latter).

ETA: Balabolka is free.
