Library and Penguin ebooks
Penguin now requires its library books to be sideloaded instead of "over the air" which is the norm for Kindle purchases and library books.
While there was a workaround using "Manage Your Kindle" to deliver the ebooks without the USB, this is no longer true. I think the workaround not working is very new as it worked last week but not this week. If anyone else could verify this, I'd appreciate it. Dean |

Sometimes it does for me and sometimes it doesn't. I can't figure out why it does when it does work.

My personal favorite publisher, Baen, requiress the same thing. The problem is that amazon requires a payment from the publisher in order to make their books available via their wispernet and Bean does not want to give amazon a cut of the business. So they make books avialable on their site in the kindle format and Ineed to sideload them to the kindle in order to read them. I do not see this as any real big deal since its real easy to do.
