Post Missing Books After Syncing?

We recently heard some customers may have experienced issues while syncing their Kobo Touch or Kobo Vox. Kobo takes our customers’ concerns very seriously and has put a fix in place to ensure a smoother syncing process.

Please try syncing your Kobo device at your next opportunity. Please note, you may experience some longer wait times while syncing your device. Keep in mind, that if you have a larger library, the sync for your Kobo Touch or your Kobo Vox may take longer than normal.

Here are the steps you will need to take to sync your Kobo Touch:
Sync Using Wi Fi

1. Press the Home button.
2. Tap the Settings icon at the top left-hand corner of the page.
3. Tap the Sync icon.
· If you are within range of a Known network, the eReader will automatically join that network and update your books, bookmarks, and recommendations.

· If you are not within range of a Known network, the eReader will begin the Adding a Network [change link here to the new Wi Fi super question] process.

Sync Using Kobo Desktop

To sync with Kobo Desktop, connect your eReader and computer with the included USB cable, and then open Kobo Desktop to sync.
1. Connect your Kobo Touch to your computer using the included USB cable.
2. On your computer, start Kobo Desktop.
3. Sign in to your Kobo account.
4. Click Sync. Kobo Desktop will update your books, bookmarks, and recommendations.
5. Note: before you disconnect your eReader from your computer, eject it from Kobo Desktop.
6. Click the Eject icon at the top right-hand corner of the screen

Here are the steps you will need to sync your Kobo Vox:
Before you start, make sure that your Kobo Vox is connected to the Internet.
To sync your library:
1. While in your Kobo library, tap the Menu button on your Kobo Vox.
2. Tap Refresh to update your library. Your eReader will now connect to Kobo, update your information, and download any new books and bookmarks.
If you experience any issues syncing your Kobo device, please email Kobo at help@kobobooks.com or call 1-855-732-3662 from 8AM-12AM EST.
Kobo thanks you for your business and appreciates your suggestions and comments.

This is not "News". Please use the forums correctly and post in the correct forum. Company representatives posting in the wrong place could be misconstrued as spamming. Moved to the Kobo forum.

Is this just a new procedure?

There doesn't seem to be any software changes, either Desktop or firmware.
