Another New Stephen King E-Short

August 21st, baseball-themed...hope it's better than Blockade Billy; or Mile 81 for that matter.

All depends on how decent a writer this O'Nan fellow is, I suppose. (Rule of Thumb: a collaboration between a big name, especially one who's getting older, and an unknown means that the unknown does all the work, with the big name at best supplying the basic plot outline and getting final pre-editor approval)

Exactly. Tom Clancy is a prime example of that phenomenon in action.

I doubt this is the case here. They wrote a non-fiction book together, and this is just a short story. The dude always has 3-4 books in the chute, I don't think he needs any help.

I've read two of O'Nan's novels, and I really enjoyed them both. I think he's a terrific writer.

Talking Poor chap ........

I think Mr. King is simply getting a bit tired, that's all, he's worn out with all those jolly long opus'ssss - so, shorter books, and a helping hand ......
