PDF files unrecognized by Calibre

I downloaded some PDF files from this page.
I can open/read them using Acrobat Reader, but Calibre refuses to identify them as PDF files (the format field remains empty) and displays an error message ... n'a pas de format disponible when I try to visualize any of them.

I've never had this kind of problem before, though I'm used to read quite many PDF files in Calibre. Any idea how I can solve this problem?

I'm afraid I can't help you. I downloaded a couple of the PDFs and they loaded into calibre fine and were easily viewed. Everything about the calibre entry including the format field were fine.

Maybe you should remove the PDFs, restart calibre (maybe your PC too), and try again.

Thanks a lot for having tested. Now I'm sure there is nothing wrong with these files and it can/should work.

Will do. Might be the file-renaming I did before trying them in Calibre that went wrong somewhere...

Problem solved: I just downloaded again all the files, then made the modification (editing titles, and such) from inside Calibre, and everything went fine.
