Exhibition on books that shaped America

"The Library of Congress, the world’s largest repository of knowledge and information, began a multiyear “Celebration of the Book” with an exhibition on 'Books That Shaped America.' "

As in any such list, some books one might not expect are included (Cookbooks?) and some are missing that one would expect to find. But still, anything that celebrates books can't be all bad!

Thank you for the link. It was interesting to click on them and read about the choice.

I filled out the very short survey and added Silent Spring by Rachel Carson as one I felt should be included.

Not sure if they added it that fast, but it is there now.

That was fast. I doubt that I was the only one who suggested the book, but it was cool to see it up so fast.

Definitely one of the "fundamental" books published I would have suggested it myself if it were not there.
