Question cleaning a K3

I have just got my new skin for my K3. Decided to get it to cover the hairline crack that has just recently formed at the bottom right hand of my screen.
The instructions say the to 'clean your device. Make sure your device & fingers are free of any debris & oil'.
My question is, what do you 'clean' it with? The only instructions I can find for cleaning is regarding the screen, not the shell.
I also have a problem with the lettering fading on my keyboard, I would appreciate any feedback & suggestions?

I wipe down the screen and the case with lens cleaning wipes usually used for glasses. You can get a box of 50 at wallyworld for about $3. The box says it's good for cleaning "high quality optics and electronics."

I've never bothered cleaning any of my devices prior to adding a skin. They've always stuck just fine.

I use a fresh alcohol swab to wipe down my screen and or case on occasion. There isn't enough liquid to cause any problems because it evaporates so quickly and it does get any fingerprints etc. off the screen if it needs cleaning.
