ISBNDM Not Working
I setup an account and loaded the access key into Calibre. Entered several isbn numbers, all valid, and then hit the download metadata buttom - book not found.
calibre, version 0.8.57 ERROR: No matches found:
Failed to find any books that match your search. Try making the search less specific. For example, use only the author's last name and a single distinctive word from the title.
To see the full log, click Show Details. By the way the Title and Author fields contain "Unknown" as I have been loading several books at a time. |

The isbndb plugin only returns results if the results have a description. I'll change that in the next calibre release for use cases like yours: no author/title and only an isbn, where it makes sense to return the result.

Thanks Kovid, and many thanks for writing such a powerful and flexible piece of software.
I am using Calibre to store over 5000 technical papers in PDF format, together with technical reports as well as conventional "hard" and "software" books. I did try out JabRef but Calibre's library to store all the files in a consistent manner won the day. Again, thank you. |
